ANTA Endorser Kevin Garnett Stirs Up Basketball Craze On China Visit

Launches KG IV Together with “Basketball is Priceless” Basketball Strategy

(Hong Kong, 12 September 2013) ANTA Sports Products Limited (“ANTA Sports” or the “Company”, stock code: 2020), a leading branded sportswear enterprise in China, is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the well-known "ANTA 2013 Kevin Garnett’s China Tour" ("China Tour"). ANTA endorser, NBA superstar Kevin Garnett, got up close and interacted with Chinese fans during his visit to Beijing, Guiyang, Kunming and Guangzhou, which stirred up the craze of basketball in China.

During the tour, ANTA Sports announced the launch of the new “Basketball is Priceless” basketball strategy and the fourth generation of KG basketball shoes (“KG IV”). KG IV is positioned as the “National Basketball Shoes” with a selling price of RMB399, and will also be worn by Kevin Garnett for the next NBA season. Kevin Garnett said, “I hope that I can inspire more teenagers to love basketball, and also hope everyone can afford my KG IV.” He added, “ANTA basketball shoes aren’t expensive but offer outstanding functions and excellent performance such as the KG IV specifically designed by ANTA Sports. These shoes will accompany me to NBA, and I hope everyone else at outdoor basketball courts.”

KG IV comes in black and white, matching the Brooklyn Nets’ colour which Kevin Garnett recently joined. The shoes’ design not only highlights the three core elements of Kevin Garnett’s passion for basketball (namely motivation, spiritual support and attention to basketball respectively), it also continues the style of the previous three generations of KG basketball shoes, embodying the attributes of clean, simple and modern. In addition, KG IV integrates unique and exclusive design elements, including a combination logo of Kevin Garnett’s eyes close up and his English name “Garnett” printed on the tongue of the shoes. His “KG” exclusive logo is printed on the heel counter and the quarter of the shoes, along with a unique design integrating the uppercase of “Four” (“肆”) in Chinese on the lifting straps, which represents the fourth generation of KG basketball shoes. As for the application of technology, KG IV also adopts the Super Flexi technology of ergonomic design on the fore foot position, which provides effective prevention of rollover and foot safety. KG IV enhances the shock absorption effect with thickened PHYLON at the midsole, which maintains the wearer’s foot comfort during exercise on the court. In addition, the molded collar design offers better stability to the shoes’ support, which helps to protect ankles and reduce the incidence of injury. KG IV also applies TPU breathing vents on the inside quarter of the shoes, which feature excellent breathability and help diffuse sweat. (Please see below for details)
