ANTA Sports Entered into Strategic Alliance Agreement
with Houston Rockets
A New Stage of Strategic Alliance Co-operation is Launched
(Hong Kong, 10 November 2007) ANTA Sports Products Limited ("ANTA Sports" or "the Company", stock code: 2020) is pleased to announce that ANTA Sports has signed a strategic alliance agreement with Houston Rockets of NBA.
Ding Zhizhong, the chairman and CEO of ANTA Sports Products Limited, and Leslie Lee Alexander, the owner of Houston Rockets, signed on the contract with the title of 共贏天下 on it, symbolizing the launch of a new stage of their strategic alliance co-operation.
ANTA Sports was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in July 2007. Leslie is the strategic investor of the Company. Since then, both parties have been actively involving in the negotiation of any possible collaboration. As regards the strategic alliance with ANTA Sports, Leslie said, "I believe the long-term strategic alliance with ANTA Sports will help the exchange of resources and share of sports market between both parties. ANTA Sports is one of the Chinese brands that I appreciated. I am pleased to provide services and assistance to the world's largest sports market through ANTA Sports. In the future, Anta Sports will implement a series of plans to team up with Rockets, including sending young Chinese basketball players with potentials to Rockets for training. This would help improving the overall standard of Chinese basketball teams and foster cultural exchange between Chinese and American basketball.
